Ceramic Rubber Composite Hose for Iron Ore Slurry Pipeline in Brazil

2026-03-16
Latest company case about Ceramic Rubber Composite Hose for Iron Ore Slurry Pipeline in Brazil

Market Background

Brazil is one of the world’s largest exporters of iron ore. In iron ore processing plants, large volumes of slurry containing highly abrasive mineral particles must be transported through pipelines between crushing, grinding, and beneficiation systems.

Traditional steel pipes or conventional rubber hoses often suffer from severe abrasion when transporting iron ore slurry. Frequent maintenance and pipe replacement can lead to increased operating costs and production interruptions. Therefore, mining companies require more durable pipeline solutions capable of handling high-abrasion materials.

Customer and Application Scenario

A mining company in Brazil required a more reliable pipeline system for its iron ore slurry transport line. The previous rubber hoses used in the plant experienced rapid wear due to continuous contact with abrasive mineral particles.

The client began searching for a wear-resistant ceramic hose that could provide longer service life and stable conveying performance in demanding mining conditions.

For detailed product information and customized pipeline solutions, customers can contact us.

Our Solution

To solve the wear issue, a ceramic-lined rubber hose was recommended. This ceramic rubber composite hose integrates a high-hardness ceramic lining with a flexible rubber structure, creating a durable and flexible conveying pipeline.

The inner layer uses high-purity alumina ceramic (≥95%), which provides excellent abrasion resistance against iron ore slurry. The outer layer is made of reinforced Nitrile Rubber (NBR) combined with textile reinforcement to ensure flexibility, impact resistance, and mechanical strength.

This design forms a reliable ceramic flexible pipeline suitable for long-term mining slurry transport.

Customer Feedback

After installing the abrasion-resistant ceramic hose, the mining company reported a significant improvement in pipeline durability. Compared with traditional rubber hoses, the new pipeline system achieved a much longer service life.

Maintenance frequency was reduced, and the slurry conveying system became more stable. The flexible hose design also simplified installation and reduced vibration in the pipeline system.
