Ceramic Pulley Lagging Rubber Sheet Custom Size Ceramic Lagging Sheet

Product description

The Ceramic Pulley Lagging Rubber Sheet is a highly effective, wear-resistant solution designed for material conveying systems across multiple industries. It's constructed from high-quality alumina ceramic (hardness exceeding HRA85) and highly elastic rubber through a high-temperature vulcanization process. The ceramic layer boasts over 10 times the wear resistance of ordinary rubber, protecting it from erosion by hard materials such as coal, ore, and cement. The rubber layer absorbs impact, prevents ceramic shedding, and enhances friction between the pulley and the conveyor belt to prevent slipping.

The product offers high and low temperature resistance from -40°C to 120°C, as well as acid and alkali resistance. Customizable to suit pulley size and operating conditions, it's suitable for both new and refurbished pulleys. It significantly extends pulley life by 3-5 times, while reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. It's widely used in conveyor pulleys across industries such as coal, mineral processing, cement, steel, ports, thermal power, and the chemical industry, providing reliable and stable wear protection for customers worldwide.

Core Features: Wear-resistant, non-slip, and impact-resistant, suitable for complex working conditions.
Highly Wear-Resistant Ceramic Layer: Utilizing high-quality alumina ceramic as the core wear-resistant material, the ceramic boasts a hardness exceeding HRA85 and boasts wear resistance over 10 times that of ordinary rubber. This layer effectively withstands long-term erosion from hard materials such as coal, ore, and cement, significantly extending the roller's service life.
Highly Adhesive Composite Structure: Through a special process, the ceramic layer is tightly bonded to a highly elastic rubber base. The rubber layer possesses excellent elasticity and cushioning properties, absorbing material impact and preventing ceramic dislodgement due to severe vibration. It also enhances friction between the roller and the conveyor belt, preventing slippage and ensuring stable operation of the conveyor system.
Weather-Resistant and Corrosion-Resistant: The product's surface undergoes a special treatment for excellent acid and alkali resistance, ensuring stable performance in humid port environments, corrosive chemical environments, and high-temperature thermal power plant environments, requiring no frequent maintenance.

Production Process
Ceramic pulley lagging adheres to the following strict production process to ensure product quality:
Raw Material Screening: High-purity alumina powder (≥92%) and high-quality natural rubber are selected to ensure that the raw materials meet performance standards.
Ceramic Sheet Forming and Sintering: The alumina powder is pressed and sintered at 1700°C to form a high-hardness ceramic sheet.
Rubber Vulcanization: The rubber raw material is mixed with a vulcanizing agent and vulcanized in a vulcanizer to form an elastic rubber base.
Composite Molding: Using a high-temperature vulcanization process, the ceramic sheet and rubber base are laminated to form a ceramic-rubber composite layer.
Pulley Fitting: The composite layer is cut and polished according to the customer's pulley dimensions to ensure a precise fit.
Quality Inspection: Ceramic hardness, rubber elasticity, and composite layer adhesion are tested. Only qualified products are packaged and shipped.

FAQ:
Q1: Does the ceramic sheet of the ceramic pulley lagging easily fall off?
A: No. We use a high-temperature vulcanization process to tightly bond the ceramic sheet to the rubber layer. The rubber layer is then secured to the metal surface of the pulley with a specialized adhesive. The adhesive is strong and has been tested to withstand a peel force exceeding 150N. Under normal operating conditions, the ceramic sheet will not fall off.
Q2: Can ceramic lagging be refurbished on old pulleys?
A: Yes. Simply derust and polish the old pulley surface, removing the old, aged lagging. Then, ceramic lagging can be installed. Refurbishment costs only one-third of replacing a new pulley, significantly reducing costs.
Q3: Does the product have quality certification?
A: Yes. Our ceramic pulley lagging is ISO9001 certified.
Q4: What is the thickness of the ceramic lagging? How do I determine the appropriate thickness?
A: Common thicknesses include 8mm, 12mm, 15mm, and 20mm. The specific thickness should be selected based on the operating conditions. For conveying hard materials such as ore and sand (mines and ports), 15-20mm is recommended; for conveying lightweight materials (food and textiles), 8-12mm is recommended. For pulley diameters greater than 800mm or for high operating speeds, 12-15mm is recommended. Customization recommendations can be provided based on the customer's specific operating conditions.
Q5: What are the core advantages of ceramic pulley lagging compared to traditional rubber lagging?
A: First, it extends service life by 3-5 times, reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Second, the non-slip texture of the ceramic surface reduces motor energy consumption and prevents localized wear on the conveyor belt. Third, it is customizable and suitable for both new and retrofitted pulleys, making installation simple and non-disruptive.
Q6: Do you support custom sizes?
A: Yes, we can customize the drum diameter, width, and tile arrangement.
Q7: Are anti-static or flame-retardant models available?
A: We offer special rubber materials such as anti-static and flame-retardant to meet safety requirements in chemical and coal mining applications.
